डायबिटीज के मरीजो के लिए अहम बाते।

दुनियाभर में लाखों लोगों को प्रभावित करने वाली बीमारी डायबीटीज ( मधुमेह / Diabetes) एक ऐसी बीमारी है जो एक बार हो गई तो इसे पूरी तरह से ठीक नहीं किया जा सकता। हेल्दी लाइफस्टाइल, स्ट्रिक्ट डायट और रेग्युलर वर्कआउट के जरिए आप इस बीमारी को सिर्फ कंट्रोल में रख सकते हैं। डायबीटीज के मरीजों में ब्लड शुगर लेवल को कंट्रोल करने में एक्सर्साइज, खााना खाने की आदत और फिजिकल एक्टिविटी की भूमिका अहम है।

डायबीटीज के मरीजों के लिए बेहद जरूरी है कि वे अपने ब्लड शुगर लेवल के साथ-साथ अपने वजन पर भी नजर रखें क्योंकि डायबीटीज में अगर आपका वजन बढ़ा तो मोटापे की वजह से आपकी समस्याएं और बीमारी और ज्यादा बढ़ जाएगी। लिहाजा हर दिन कम से कम 30 मिनट की जॉगिंग, रनिंग या ब्रिस्क वॉकिंग (तेज कदमों से चलना) जरूर करें। डायबीटीज को कंट्रोल में रखने में फिजिकल ऐक्टिविटी काफी मदद करती है।

नियमित व्यायाम – शुगर लेवल को बेलेंस में रखने के लिए नियमित व्यायाम बेहद जरूरी है, जो आपके शरीर को स्वस्थ रखने के साथ-साथ आपके शुगर लेवल को भी ठीक रखता है।

योग से होगा फायदा

वैसे तो हर तरह की एक्सर्साइज करने से आपको अच्छा महसूस होता है और शरीर पर इसका पॉजिटिव असर दिखता है लेकिन खासतौर पर योग करने से स्ट्रेस यानी तनाव में कमी आती है। स्ट्रेस किसी भी व्यक्ति की सेहत को नकारात्मक रूप से प्रभावित करने वाला सबसे अहम फैक्टर है। ऐसे में योग से स्ट्रेस कम होगा तो बीमारी अपने आप कम हो जाएगी।

पैदल चलना-

पैदल चलना यानि टहलना और हल्का फुल्का ही सही लेकिन व्यायाम करना आपके ब्लड शुगर के बढ़ते स्तर को कम कर सकता है। अत: रोजाना सुबह शाम टहलने की आदत डाले। वहीं जब आप खाना खाने के तुरंत बाद चलते हैं, तब आपका बढ़ा हुआ ब्लड शुगर ऊर्जा निर्माण के लिए इस्तेमाल हो जाता है, जिससे ब्लड शुगर लेवल बढ़ने नहीं पाता है, खाना खाने के बाद थोड़ी दूर भी टहलने से ब्लड शुगर लेवल 12% तक कम हो जाता है

ऐरोबिक्स एक्‍सर्साइज

शुगर लेवल को नियमित रखने के लिए हफ्ते में कम से कम पांच दिन 30 मिनट ऐरोबिक्स एक्‍सर्साइज करनी चाहिए। या यों कहें कि एक सप्‍ताह में कुल 150 मिनट कसरत करनी चाहिए। कोशिश करें कि ऐसा न हो कि बिना कसरत किए दो दिन रहा जाए। शुरू में अधिक समय न निकाल सकें तो हर दिन 5 से 10 मिनट से शुरुआत कर सकते हैं। धीरे-धीरे समय को बढ़ाया जा सकता है।

पिलाटेज (pilates)

पिलाटेज वर्कआउट का नया ट्रेंड है और यह फिटनेस के मामले में बॉलिवुड ऐक्ट्रेसेस के बीच काफी फेमस है और डायबीटीज खासकर टाइप 2 डायबीटीज को मैनेज करने में भी पिलाटेज मदद कर सकता है। 2013 में हुई एक रिसर्च में यह बात सामने आयी थी कि टाइप 2 डायबीटीज से पीड़ित मरीजों की सेहत में सुधार करने के मामले में पिलाटेज बेहद असरदार और सुरक्षित एक्सर्साइज माना जाता है।

वेट ट्रेनिंग

स्‍ट्रेंथ या वेट ट्रेनिंग करने का सबसे बड़ा फायदा यह है कि शरीर इंसुलिन के प्रति ज्‍यादा संवेदनशील बनता है। टाइप 2 डायबीटीज की एक वजह शरीर में इंसुलिन के प्रति संवेदनशीलता न होना भी है। ऐसे में वेट ट्रेनिंग या स्ट्रेंथ ट्रेनिंग करने से आपकी मांसपेशियां और हड्डियां मजबूत बनेंगी। डॉक्‍टर भी सलाह देते हैं कि हफ्ते में कम से कम 2 दिन स्‍ट्रेंथ ट्रेनिंग करनी चाहिए। इसमें वजन उठाना या रेसिस्‍टेंस बैंड का इस्‍तेमाल करना शामिल है।

अगर आपको ब्लड शुगर की समस्या रहती है तो यह बेहद जरूरी है कि आप अतिरिक्त सावधानी बरतें। ऐसे लोगों को अपने डॉक्टर से ग्लूकागन के लिए प्रिस्क्रिप्शन लेने के बारे में बात करनी चाहिए।

शुगर लेवल पर यह कैसे असर डालता है

खाने के बाद ख़ून में ग्लूकोज़ लेवल बढ़ता है. ख़ून में ग्लूकोज़ लेवल के इस तरह के उछाल को नियंत्रित करने के लिए शरीर इंसुलिन का रिसाव करता है, पर जिन्हें मधुमेह है, उनके लिए यह स्थिति इतनी आसान नहीं होती, क्योंकि उनके शरीर में इंसुलिन सही तरह काम नहीं करता. इससे ब्लड शुगर लेवल पर नियंत्रण नहीं रह पाता और ब्लड शुगर पर नियंत्रण ना रहने से इसमें आया उछाल रक्त धमनियों को नुक़सान पहुंचा सकता है।

चीनी को न कहें

When you consume eight to ten glasses of plain drinking water along with other kinds of fluids, the color of your urine will become clear like water which is a good sign. It is recommended to drink mineral water as it is free of sediments. Another option is to take one tablespoon of pomegranate seeds and then grind it to make a fine paste. Now take this paste along with a cup of horse gram soup once daily. This remedy will help in dissolving the gravel in kidneys.

Quit smoking

Quitting smoking can reduce your risk of heart disease and improve your overall health. People who quit smoking may live longer than people who never quit smoking.

Cut back on caffeine

Although the long-term effects of caffeine on blood pressure aren’t clear, it’s possible blood pressure may slightly increase.

To see if caffeine raises your blood pressure, check your pressure within 30 minutes of drinking a caffeinated beverage. If your blood pressure increases by 5 to 10 mm Hg, you may be sensitive to the blood pressure raising effects of caffeine. Talk to your doctor about the effects of caffeine on your blood pressure.

If you have elevated blood pressure, exercise can help you avoid developing hypertension. If you already have hypertension, regular physical activity can bring your blood pressure down to safer levels.

Some examples of aerobic exercise you may try to lower blood pressure include walking, jogging, cycling, swimming or dancing. You can also try high-intensity interval training, which involves alternating short bursts of intense activity with subsequent recovery periods of lighter activity. Strength training also can help reduce blood pressure. Aim to include strength training exercises at least two days a week. Talk to your doctor about developing an exercise program.

Consider boosting potassium. Potassium can lessen the effects of sodium on blood pressure. The best source of potassium is food, such as fruits and vegetables, rather than supplements. Talk to your doctor about the potassium level that’s best for you.

Celebrating Doctor’s Day, Remembering Doctors Died as Coronawarriors

If we did not recognise the importance of doctors before, we are certainly learning just how much they contribute to society, amid the coronavirus pandemic. While we are self-isolating, it is the doctors who are constantly fighting for the lives of people who have been infected with the deadly virus. With the number of infected people on the rise every day and hospitals teeming with hundreds of people, it has never been more important to appreciate the efforts that doctors make to ensure that we sufficiently recover from whatever may be ailing us and continue to remain healthy. Doctors are truly the greatest heroes, of not just the present but of all time. We have lost more than 21 doctors in delhi due to COVID19.

Why do we celebrate National Doctors Day?

The National Doctors day is celebrated in remembrance of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, former West Bengal Chief Minister and a physician. He was born in 1882 AD, and with his hard work in medical field became the legendary physician, who was also honoured with the Bharat Ratna in 1961. He served a long tenure of 14 years as a Chief Minister of West Bengal from 1948–1962 post independence. He was a close friend and Doctor of Gandhiji and fought many movements for independence of India.

Dr. B.C. Roy was one of the foremost Indian leaders of the 20th century. He was a legendary physician, distinguished political leader, philanthropist, educationist and social worker.  He laid the foundation in the formation Indian Medical Association in 1928 and making it the largest professional organisation in the country. He served the association in various capacities including as national president for two terms. The Medical Council of India was his creation and he was its first president in 1939, a position he held till 1945. He played a key role in establishing the Indian Institute of Mental Health, the Infectious Disease Hospital and the first-ever postgraduate medical college in Kolkata. Beside a Lawyer, an MLA, a Physician, a Freedom fighter, he used to spend time in serving people’s health.

Unexpectedly, on his birthday he left this world leaving his memories of service to mankind at the age of 80 in 1962 AD.
